The short version A few simple steps make a pest inspection faster and more accurate: photograph what you've seen, note where and when, keep samples if you can, clear access to the areas of concern, and list any treatments you've already tried.

Before the visit

Photograph what you've seen

Take clear photos of pests, droppings, damage, mud tubes, pellets or discarded wings. Include something for scale, such as a coin or a ruler.

Note where and when

Write down where you noticed the problem, what time of day, and how often. Patterns help a technician narrow down what's going on.

Keep a sample, if you can

A sealed container with a few insects, wings or droppings can help identification. Don't touch droppings with bare hands.

List anything you've tried

Tell the technician about any sprays, traps or products you've used, and where. This avoids repeating what hasn't worked and helps explain what you're seeing.

Clear access

Think about people and animals

Tell the technician about children, elderly residents, people with health conditions, pets or anything else they should know. For businesses, let them know about food storage areas and opening hours.

What to expect on the day

Protek Pest Services offers a free, no-obligation inspection across St. Kitts & Nevis.

Don't clean everything first. It's fine to keep things tidy, but avoid wiping away droppings or trails before the visit. They are clues the technician can use.
